Weekend trip from glasgow & back

Hi,

Am going to be in Glasgow for a training program from 16th May to 1st June. I have been booked @ the Menzies Glasgow for the whole duration.

As i will be having 2 weekends free, can you please suggest day trips from Glasgow over the weekend. On my earlier trip have been to Edinburgh so any other place to visit or recommendations would be welcome.

Cheers,

Mr. B

Stirling by train is really easy. Not sure how to get there by public transport but New Lanark is interesting. You could also take a trip doon the water on the Waverly paddle steamer

If you have lots of cash to spare then take an unforgetable seaplane trip to Oban

Even a trip to Balloch by train and a boat trip on Loch Lomond woud be spectacular.

That should be enough for you to get on with.

You could pop down to the Ayrshire coast, visit Largs, Ayr, Culzean Castle or visit Arran for the weekends. Perth and as has been mentioned Stirling are not far north.
