No early lunches, just late breakfast.

I dare say a whole lot of the Byres Road eateries will be serving food at that time of day. Kember and Jones Cafe is a great spot but you will surely find yourself spoiled for choice. Getting a table at any time on the weekend can be a chore so the earlier the better. Upstairs in La Vallee Blanche (top of byres road above Fopp Records) they will probably be serving a very nice brunch far from the madding festival crowd. Then there's the wee cafe called Cup close to Waitrose. Nardinis is worth a mention too as they don't just do some of the best italian ice-cream in the world, they also serve light snacks and lovely italian bread sandwiches.

What kind of food did you have in mind?
