I will be attending an event in this venue this week..can anyone recommend somewhere to go for dinner nearby? Thankyou!!

You are only a 4-5 minute walk further on than Merchant City so loads of places there like Guys, Metropolitan, Pancho Villas, Amore, Kubla Khans, Cafe Gandolf, Kool Ba and a few others.

Check www.5pm.com or www.dinearoundglasgow.com for ideas.

I would recommend cafe source (Scottish fare) which is underneath St Andrews in the square can normally be found on 5pm with some good deals other than that are plenty in the merchant city to suit all tastes and most can also be found on 5pm including.

Yes, I would also go for the Café Source. It is a really nice restaurant.
