So I'm gonna leave Scotland soon and planning to visit all the must-go places that I totally ignored so far. I'm based in Glasgow and interested in going to Highlands area (done with cities like Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Dundee etc). I'm keen on historic, scenic landscape rather than shopping or modern architecture.
My trip is starting from Friday April 26, I have 3 days (with a possible extension of Monday) and all transport is by bus and my chicken legs >"<
So my schedule is like this:
* Friday: GLASGOW- ISLE OF SKYE (Portree square): I will arrive in Skye at 1.15pm but I wonder how much time is enough to tour around Skye. The same-day bus to Inverness departs at 5.40pm but I think it is too rushed so maybe I stay one night in Skye and leave for Inverness the next early morning.
* Saturday: ISLE OF SKYE- INVERNESS: arrive at 12.16pm. I'm planning to stay one night and leave around late Sunday morning. Feel free to change if u think that is too much
* Sunday: INVERNESS- FORT WILLIAM- GLASGOW: Will spend few hours in Fort William. I heard that Skyfall was filmed here (Glencoe???) so it might be a well-worth.
Actually I want to go to OBAN as well but it is too packed already so maybe another weekend. Please show ur opinion about this itinerary, what can be fixed, added or removed blah. Also some recommendation abt places to visit and stay will be much appreciated. Cheers xx
