train ticket pick up

I would like to buy tickets to multiple places in Scotland. Is it possible to pick them all up at one spot ie Glasgow Central or do I need to pick them up at each departure site?

You can pick up all the tickets at any station that has the facilities for you to do so.

Even if you specify a station, you are still free to pick them up elsewhere if you choose.

If you buy a bunch of tickets in one go you can pick them up in one go at most large rail stations. There's a machine, and you use your credit card details to access them - the card you used when purchasing.

However there's little financial advantage in buying short journey tockets in advance, e.g. Glasgow -Edinburgh, especially if there is any doubt in your mind about sticking to a schedule: cheap tickets are often tied to particular journey times.

You might consider a Britrail or Scotrail pass as opposed to individual point-to-point tickets. Depends on how much time you plan to travel but the rail pass allows you on any train to any destination. You have to purchase before you leave the US, however.
