Aviemore up to 20 Group Accommodation...?

Hi All,

Forgive me for posting what may have been discussed previously but i'm looking for some fairly specific info...

I am trying to find accommodation that can sleep up to 20 people. It is a stag weekend, with ages from 20-50 in amongst the mix. Things like nights out at the pub I think we're sorted on. Days spent on the slopes are already arranged. The thing I'm struggling with is decent accommodation. Does anyone know of any accommodation that can sleep up to 20 gents? Or the next best thing? (i.e., up to 18, or 15? etc.) Amenities such as a hot tub, pool table, etc, would be nice. As would a premium location. But as with anything, I'll compromise on these things for the right place. Given that the snowboarding is costing around £150, I would suggest the budget is between £100-150 per person for the full 3 nights (arriving Friday, leaving monday)...

Any thoughts?

P.S., what other activities are there in Aviemore apart from snowboarding, canoeing and paint-balling?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You really need to be staying in Aviemore I would say, to get easy access to eating and drinking places so it could be difficult to find somewhere that large IN the village. However you have quite a generous budget given that £150 x 20 is a lot of money! You don't say what time of year you are coming - that makes a huge difference to prices and availability. However you mention snowboarding so it must be during the winter season??

The above says you can sleep up to 24 with both houses together but its Dulnain about 12 miles from Aviemore which means transport to and from the slopes and for entertainment and food so its not ideal.

This sleeps up to 15 but again - I am sure some of those will be double beds - not ideal!

What about multiple log cabins at the likes of Pinebank? Its within walking distance of the village

Activities in Aviemore are so numerous that its impossible to list. Practically any outdoor activity is on offer in the immediate area or nearby. Check out this website

If you are stuck I would contact the Toursit Information Office in Aviemore - I am sure they have been asked the question loads of times

Glenmore Lodge is a national outdoors training centre although it now does B&B if it has room, and it has some chalets. They run skiing and climbing courses in winter, so quite likely to be busy, but not sure how they have been affected by tightness of money.

5* it isn't. But is is extremely handy for the ski slopes. Worth asking.

If you forego luxury, there's the Youth Hostel very near Glenmore Lodge syha.org.uk/hostels-in-scotland/highlands/ca… :-), and there's another YH in Aviemore itself.

There's Glentromie Lodge but again its around 15 miles from Aviemore and only sleeps 15 or Aultmore House at Nethy Bridge (around 11 miles away) and Craigerne House at Newtonmore (@ 20 miles), both sleep over 20. All 3 available through Cottages and Castles.
