Stay for two nights - 30th April

We are two couples, looking to stay for two nights in Inverness. We have our own car, however, want to stay somewhere in the city center so that we can try out the local culture/restaurants - and wanted to see if you folks can give me some recommendations. We are looking to stay at about 120 to 150 GBP per couple ( flexible on it though). Open to self apartments/b&b/hotel suggestions. I checked out Heathmount but the fact that they are rooms over a pub made me nervous about noise/ambiance. Any names/recommendations would be much appreciated.

There are many hotels in and around Inverness, but the 3 most cemtral I can think of are Ramada Jarvis, Ramada Encore and The Highland Hotel.

Ramada Encore is very new and a slightly cheaper option - not sure what parking is available.

Highland is next door to train station with limited parking on the doostep.

Ramada Jarvis is situated right on the river - be sure to ask for a riverside room for the view and to avoid street noise. Decent size carpark.

All 3 are bang in the centre of town for evenings out and should be well below your budget.

There are a few more hotels just across the river which would also be walkable.

Check all the hotels and locations on TA reviews and compare rates on Travelsupermarket for the best deal. Rocpool Reserve is No1 rated if you want to stretch the budget!

Check out www.visitscotland.com they will give you some ideas for bed and breakfasts-the crown area is a very central location.

Cafe 1 is a very good restraunt for lunch or evening meal.

Rocpool-Ness Walk is very good too.

We love to stay at the Royal Highland (next to the train station). Lovely lobby with a staircase that was used for the film Titanic. Rooms are very nice. Short walk to shops, etc.
