We will be staying 3 nights in Inverness after arriving by East Coast Rail from Edinburgh(as recommended on this forum).
Planning to rent a car and leisurely drive west on one day to Beauly, the Black Isle and other Frasers of Lovat points of interest. The 2nd day we'd like to drive east to Culloden, Clava Cairns, Moy, Farr, and other Mackintosh points of interest.
Would it be better to book a tour to Culloden or will we get enough out of it just by using the audio provided in the entrance fee? I would like to spend quite a bit of time there and don't want to be rushed by a tour.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
