Google throws up a bakery on George st - I can't speak from experience though.

In case you've not been before, it is pronounced 'Oik'.

I'm not 100% sure but I don't believe there are any bakeries or breakfast cafes in Avoch. There's a fish & chip shop, small supermarket, and hotel but nothing for a sit down breakfast I don't think. I live in inverness, so this is from memory of passing through the village! There is a Cafe in Fortrose just along the road (if you have a car) but I can't be sure what time it opens. Breakfasting in cafes isn't really done around here so it's not catered for generally.

P.S it's actually pronounced "och" as in the Scottish pronounciation of loch, with a throat clearing "ch"!

There is also a fantastic new pub and restaurant just opened up in Munlochy which is nearby. It's called The Allangrange Arms and the food, atmosphere and staff are just fabulous.
