Caledonian Sleeper and dog travelling with me

I am going on the sleeper towards the end of May and just wonder if anyone else has been recently. It is my first time and although looking forward to it as an adventure a little trepidation is creeping in. :-)

Hello! I've travelled on the Caledonian sleeper many times, but not with a dog. I am pleased to hear that they welcome pets in the berths (But not in the lounge car). Anything particularly you have trepidation regarding? It's a lovely service!

Not now that you have said that it is a lovely service. I am really looking forward to it. I am sure the dog will be better than me at crossing his legs. Bless him :-)

No we are not allowed to alight until the end of the journey. :-) I wouldn't want to get left behind in me nightie :-)

What sort of dog do you have? (I'm just a nosy dog lover!)

You will have a great trip, it's such an adventure in your wee cabin. Waking up to watch the stunning countryside whizz past your window is a magical experience :)

Enjoy!

Slightly less magical if you awake expecting to be on Rannoch Moor and find you're stuck outside Crewe due to a failed loco.

I have a Red and White Border Collie. He goes everywhere with me. He has to behave as I am a dog trainer :-) But he isn't a robot so he does have his foibles. :-) Mind you he thinks the human race is there just for him. So he loves travelling on anything.

Funny you should say wee cabin as we are going to a place called the wee res in Foyers.

My sister has frequently taken her dog on the sleeper - they do make you pay £40 extra for steam-cleaning your cabin afterwards. Dogs seem to be very well-behaved on the train. You will have to take your dinner with you as you're not allowed to leave the dog alone in the sleeper.

Good luck
