Su Casa Coffee House (and live music venue)

Su Casa, the coffee house in the Lorne Arcade that's causing a bit of a stir, is now listed on Tripadvisor and ready for reviews:

I had hopes to be adding a review of my own, but I couldn't find a seat.

Went in on Sunday afternoon but just had a hot chocolate with my daughter so can't really post a review on that - but will say that it was one of the best hot chocolates I have had!!!! Guys that own it are lovely and take great pride in telling you what they do and how they will be running evenings where they provide dinner for 20 people and you are all seated round one big table...... which I think sounds great!!!!!

They have a facebook page that you can join and it keeps you up to date with all thats happening!!!

The coffee is good and the welcome is warm and friendly. Had the falafel in pitta bread with an excellent hummus for something like 4.25 (for the food) at lunchtime. For that I think I got two falafels, but they were kind of crushed flat so I'm not sure. They tasted homemade and were every bit as good as my own, though at home I'd have stuffed double the falafel in the pocket. Anyhow it was very nice and left me definitely wanting more. Twice as much more!

Thursday night is live acoustic music night at Su Casa with open mic sessions and live streaming of the evening on blogtv if you can't get along yourself and want to see what they are up to. Well worth supporting such an innovative and enthusiastic bunch of people.

Another live music venue is back on the scene after a brief absence, down on river street near the casino; Bar Libertine. Good luck to them too.

Tripadvisor have decided there isn't enough information available to list the new Willie Wastles bar opposite the town hall. Was I hallucinating the place or could there be another reason they are reluctant >_<

Su Casa is a great place to come for coffee! The coffee is so fresh and can be tailor made depending on how you like your coffee. The food is delicious and is all prepared and cooked on the premises. They do great food such as delicious wraps, baguettes, sandwiches, breakfasts and homemade specials.

The guys that own it are very pleasant and friendly, very motivated and enthusiastic! Su Casa put on great events such as dinner parties, gig nights and acoustic nights. Their music nights are streamed live around the world through BlogTV by ELGATO, check it out www.blogtv.com/People/xELGATOx

As well as this Su Casa also do private functions such as dinner parties. This is unique in that you get the whole venue to yourselves. The owners can also tailor make a menu specific to how the customer wants it.

I definitely recommend Su Casa to anyone who wants a great quirky unique venue to visit with great food, great coffee and great music!

Nice review Alison. I'm sure Su Casa would be cock-a-hoop to read your words of praise.

Forums threads tend to drop out of sight after a while, so do add the review to the Reviews section if you get the time. More people will benefit from your personal recommendation in the future if you do this. Here 'tis:

We went into Su Casa yesterday for a bite to eat and it was fantastic - the guys are just so passionate about what they do and everything was made to order and very very fresh - their salsa is the best I have tasted in a very long while!!!!

My daughter is going to head to the acoustic night on Thursday after the guy told her about all the bands he has playing - would like to tag along with her but have been told I will cramp her style!!!!

Haha I can sympathise on that one! Cramping style is a thing of the past when we can embrace new media/get down with the kids and watch it live on the internet. Just don't let her know or she'll think you're spying, lol.
