i am thinking of coming over in the next month to work in a hotel on the island. Have never been to skye so looking for some advice on living there during the winter months.

Well at least you don't have to get a boat to get back to the mainland - that's one plus point!(there is a road bridge)

There are buses from Glasgow to Skye with one a day calling at Glasgow Airport which might suit you.

You could fly from Bristol to Inverness with Easyjet and then catch a bus from Inverness. Skye is a great friendly place, funnily enough I was there yesterday.
