Looking for Best Lodging

We are looking for a 2 to 4 night stay - a little short for a cottage but this is our preference. Can anyone recommend a four to five star cottage on the island that is well placed, as well as a four or five-star inn in case a cottage is not available? Thanks!!

When is your visit? You stand a much better chance of getting a short let at a self-catering cottage if it is out of the peak season.

Whether you will get a 3 night stay in a cottage will largely depend on what time of year you are travelling- in the summer months the majority of places set a minimum 7 night Sat- Sat booking. Have a look here for listings of hotels/ lodgings. tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotels-g186585-Isle_of_Sky…

We can recommend Bonn Na Cnoc. It sits in the north of the island and we've stayed there frequently. Search for it on Google.

For some reason the TA Hotel Listings are a little confusing and not complete (there are more than 8 hotels in Skye but some are listed as B&B/Inns) a couple also worth looking at are www.duisdale.com/… www.skyehotel.co.uk/… The Cuillin Hills Hotel in Portree (which is listed) is very nice and well located. Although not a hotel as such http://www.threechimneys.co.uk/house is excellent and with a world famous restaurant.

Very nice recommendations - thank you to everyone - I will be following up. 3 Chimneys is not exactly what we are looking for (though nice rooms) but we will make sure to at least have dinner there.

None of these came up when I looked online for Skye accommodation.

Thank you again -
