My mom (very active 74 yo), sister and I are spending 2 days in Skye mid September. We all like to walk a lot and have a few hikes in mind thanks to walkhighlands.co.uk and Isle of Skye, 40 Coast and Country Walks by Paul & Helen Webster. My sister hates to be on boats so we are foregoing the boat ride and hike to Lake Coriusk. We will rent a car for the time we are on the island.
My question is if there are any good places to go if the weather is bad? I have heard that it can be iffy any time of year so just wanted to have a backup plan. We are thinking one day on the Trotternish Pennisula and one day perhaps going to Neist Point and around that area. As well, any ideas for our second day would be appreicated.
