2 votes for Banoffi, or Banoffee, however it's spelled, it is delicious! And YES, we know it's not actually originally Irish, but it is SO GOOD in Ireland, it doesn't matter!

Had a great Irish coffee at Monk's in Ballyvaughan.

Okay, I have to admit that I am a bit of an Irish Coffee veteran :-) and I LOVED the one that we had in Dublin at the Jamison "distillery". Of course it could have been that we went to the Guinness Storehouse in the morning, then wandered over to Jamison. We did not do the tour, but hubby and I split a 15 yr old whiskey (wow) and then had an Irish coffee each.

Then we strolled back to our hotel. It was a fantastic Sunday!

What is Banoffi? I looked it up and could only find a cupcake or pie.

...............I would recommend the apple tart & cream in Bunratty Folk Park.. Had it a few weeks ago and it's the finest I've ever tasted.

Finger licking stuff :-))

Bailey's Creme Brulee (Mount Wolseley, Co. Carlow) is sublime, brilliant!! And I've eaten a fair few creme brulees in my time :o)

If any of you make bread and butter pudding (which is frighteningly easy), I make one using leftover Brandy or Whiskey Butter (actually I lie, I make or buy extra so it can become leftover!!).

Just butter the bread with the whiskey/brandy butter and make the usual custard etc. If you don't like raisins, sultantas, currants etc use chocolate chips or grated chocolate (what we do in our house).

Serve with Brandy Cream... Delish!!
