Three month visit

Someone would like to rent our home here in South Florida for three months next winter. We're tempted to do it if we can find a rental somewhere in Ireland, Italy or France for three months. We feel we'll get a better deal if we rent for three months as opposed to a month in three different locations, but we can be flexible. Advice on the best locations in Ireland, please? Also, if anyone knows of rentals for two.

Where looking for the best location to spoke out and see sights. We enjoy shoppping at local markets and cooking our own meals so we can try the local fare.

We have stayed a couple of times in Killarney and love it. An area with the same feel.

Rental car or lease, advice?

Look forward to hearing what you all have to offer for advice.

Maybe Westport or Galway?

Rental options - and negotiate, it's a buyers market out there. I know of one local occupant who stays free in an as yet unsold housing scheme - so get value!!

If county Clare appeals, Ennistymon, Lahinch or Ballyvaughan would all do the trick.

You should get a holiday let in winter quite easily and cheaply. Just be aware that there might be issues of heating since you are from Florida. Houses that are normally let for the summer may not have the level of heating you need.

Make sure there is oilfired, gas or solid fuel central heating to all rooms.

And I would go for a more modern building with double glazing and insulation, rather than a cute cottage with draughts.
