I haven't yet watched that youtube, but I would say that Ireland is better value this year than last. Tourism is reduced, competition is tough, and business have cut prices to compete. Hotel rooms have fallen in price, eg I see lots of signs on the Naas Rd into Dublin for 69 eur per night where they used to be 89 eur. Hotels.com recently reported exactly such as drop, based on their booking figures. Businesses are also encountering more people negotiating.

Overall, the Irish economy is currently undergoing a painful downsizing from the celtic tiger boomtime, including a reducing in incomes and standard of living, but leading to improved competitiveness and value for money.

nice post, there, but don't know if you realise that everyone has has to suffer a substantial wage cut over the last few weeks - so it kind of knocks the good out of prices coming down.
