Hi there,

There are different VAT rates, from zero to 21%, depending on the product or service. VAT is already included in the displayed price of the product. B

The top rate of Vat is 21% charged on most electrical goods services like telephone not gas or electricity that is charged at 13.5%.Vat is also included in you food charged for in restaurants at 13.5 and 21on spirits and wine plus cigarettes. Some services like plumbing in your home is 13.5 others charge 21butthis is usually done when they are supplying parts as well.Childrens clothing was zero but have had no need to check this lately so might have changed.
