Itinerary help

We are slowly working through what we want to see. Any help would be so appreciated...We will arrive in October into Dublin and stay the night. we then will travel to Cappaquin and base ourselves here for three nights. From here we will travel to Kenmare for three nights. I am then thinking about staying in Doolin for three nights, and then back to dublin for a night before I head home. What do you think about this..any changes? what are the main things that we should be concentrating on. We are travelling with my elderly(in age though not spirit!) and our 24 year old daughter.

Why Cappoquin? And why for 3 nights?

What are your interests?

we are wanting to visit the county of waterford but also visit a friend who lives close by here. We are not into big cities or town, but more exploring nature and having country drives.

Dungarvan is a better base and not too far away, Cappoquin is very small and would not have much to offer food wise bar Barrons bakery and Richmond house.

Be sure to make a visit to MountMellary Cistercian abbey .

3 nights in Doolin is way too much.

Hi, I agree with Harvey - 3 nights in Doolin too much. For those nights, I would choose a base in Connemara - from there you could take long drives, go for walks, possibly visit the Arans if inclined, take a daytrip up through the Doo Lough valley to Westport, take a daytrip to the Cong area.
