Train from Rathdrum back to the Charles Stewart Guesthouse?

We leave a week today. Very excited. Thinking through our last couple of questions that we hope someone can help us with. We are doing a 4 day walking tour in the Wicklow mountains. When we finish, we will be dropped at the Rathdrum train station. Can anyone advise which train to take and how much that will cost?

We need to get to the Charles Stewart Guesthouse at 5/6 Parnell Square East. Thanks so much.

All the details you want should be here.

You'll be coming into Conolly station.

You will be catching the Rosslare/Wexford train to Dublin from Rathdrum Co Wicklow:

Your final stop will be Connolly Station. Given that you are walkers, would you consider some further walking from Connolly Station to Parnell Square? I'll make a rough guess of 20 to 30 minutes, depending on how tired you are by then.

For public transport options, I'll defer to those who know.

On this map, Connolly Station is in the area of D2 #20 and Parnell Square in and around C4 # 34:

Amazing what you can learn before you even leave home. Thanks so much, Harvey and Uasal. We are walkers but we'll have all of our luggage with us when we get off the train. On our walking tour, it is transported from B&B to B&B for us. Not sure if we want to lug our suitcases for a 20 minute walk. We'll have to discuss that. I think the 14:30 p.m. train will work the best for us. Thanks again.

Best idea is to get a taxi from the Taxi Rank (Stand) outside Connolly Station, given that you have luggage

and that the streets between the station and your B&B are very bus - especially at the time you'll be arriving off the 2.30 train.

The Rathdrum to Dublin adult single fare is € 15.00

Trains usually depart from platform 1 - the platform just down the ramp from the car park.

Rathdrum station is unstaffed and (unless one appeared very recently) has no ticket machine so just buy from the ticket checker onboard the train.

An useful bus service linking the Wicklow Way with Rathdrum railway station is: http://www.wicklowwaybus.com/

Hope this helps and that the weather is reasonable for the trip!

Thanks, no matter what I tried, I couldn't get the price because the ticket is not available on line. We're taking the train anyways, but I did want to know how much to set aside. Good to know that it's unstaffed as I might find that spooky if I didn't know. I think we're set now for this leg of our trip. Getting very excited!!!!!!
