Tony's advice is spot on. Driving clockwise on the Ring against the buses in July is lunacy. Not for the first time Rick Has got it wrong

Having been on one of "those buses" around the RoK . . . I concur with the suggestion to do the counterclockwise and plan to be IN FRONT of the buses.

He suggests leaving beirethetour buses then deviating on he skeligs ring where the tour buses can't go then if you get to Waterville aboutb11am re join the N70 and most of or all our buses have already passed by ?

It makes sense but open to hearing from someone who has driven the rok in July

Leave Killarney for about 9.30 and just take your time, The bus's will be making a couple of stops behind you and you are not going to be rounding a corner into an oncoming bus on a narrow bend.

You will find the man who would be god knows sweet FA when it comes to driving in Ireland. Few local contributors would recommend his pamphlet although it does burn well on an open fire.
