Starting over new time and itinerary, sigh

Trip will be shortened and must fly in to Dublin unstead of Shannon.was really hoping to see Killarney and Dingle and Conemara area. But as you know I was hoping to not be constantly on the move. So probably would skip Conemara at least this trip. Driving intimidates us but we are willing to give it a shot. I know we won't have a car in Dublin . not sure if we should head over west anyway, or maybe just stay on the east side closer to Dublin.( but not in Dublin) We are still planning to come in May, (probably the 21 st and leave the 30th.) If we do head west towards Killarney is there an easy route for us to take? Is there a nice place to stop along the way for the night? If we stay east we could see Carlingford and Glendelough, where else? Nine easy, relaxing days of castles, lovely countryside , and warm nice people. We must book soon !

There is no need for an overnight between Killarney and Dublin unless you want to. The driving time is approx 3.5 hours

Why not use portions of your old itinerary - you prob don't need to start from scratch
