Cell Phone for use in Ireland and Northern Ireland

We will be going to Ireland (landing in Dublin) and after visiting a few places, heading to Northern Ireland for a week before returning to Dublin for our flight back to the United States. I need help figuring out to obtain a cell phone in Dublin that can be used in Northern Ireland without incurring a huge cost. Have already decided best plan is to purchase a phone in Dublin.

Most ROI operators cover the Island of Ireland so no roaming problems/charges .. Tesco Mobile are generally considered the best option and the only network I use myself.

My wife says whenever I use a Tesco mobile phone, I sound a little bit hoarse.

I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself.
