a week in Ireland with 2 girls ages 8 &10 in July

We will be in Ireland for a week in July and need advice on what to see and do with 2 younger daughters (ages 8 & 10). They are also Irish dancers, so we would like to take them to a traditional Irish dance show. We would also like to visit some castles. Any festivals or recommendations for fun, family-friendly activities ?

Where are you flying into/out of?

Will you hire a car?

How many actual full visit days do you have?

Are there any places that you MUST see?

Here is a good overall site to kick start your itinerary

Where will you be in Ireland? Where are you landing? Have you heard about the Gathering? It is a year long celebration going on here in Ireland. We celebrate people who have Irish roots, Irish culture and people who love Ireland. There will be lots of festivals and events in each county, including traditional music and Irish dance. You can have a look at this link for a list of events http://goo.gl/6jnPq . You could also check out www.familyfun.ie for suggestions and ideas on fun family activities to do in the Emerald Isle.
