Limerick had them in 2012. The adverts are usually placed in April.

I haven't seen any adverts yet.

Just someone asking for a private guide for Dublin and limerick is also on their itinerary. I'm a tight wad and don't see the point in paying for something provided for free. I knew they existed but couldn't find a current link for this year.

As stated on the other thread, the Limerick Ambassadors are not free private tour guides. They are free floating on the streets of Limerick and will help any tourist who stops asking for help.

They had them in Cork last year, but everyone kept avoiding them 'cos they assumed (by their visi vests) that they were 'chuggers'

It's a good idea though. I would have thought they (Tourism Ireland) would have ramped up that particular initiative particularly for the year that is in it.
