Requesting help with places to stay in Dublin-

I'm headed to Dublin for the fist time ever at the end of June and plan on staying a night or two in Dublin. Thanks for the suggestion above. I will take the 16A bus into town. I just need a plan lay down for a good nights sleep. Any recommendations for an a-okay place to stay, a couple blocks away from the loud bar scene?

There is no bus 16A - just the 16 or 16C

Take the 16 an d get off at Aungier Street Church - the Travelodge Stephen's Green is tucked away behind the Green on a quiet back street 2mins walk from the bus stop.

It would be much easier if we know your budget (in euro!)

The Travelodge location is excellent.

Normally I wouldn't recommend a hostel but a fellow blogger recently stayed in Generator in Smithfield and wrote a piece about it, it sounds really lovely. vibrantireland.com/2013/01/culture-vulture-o… They have private rooms as well as dorms. Decent enough location, not slap bang in the middle but everything is easily accessible.

Other places to look include:

Jury's Inn (Christchurch, Custom House Quay and Parnell St)

Maldron (Cardiff Lane, Parnell Square and Smithfield)

Mont Clare

Hilton Charlemont Place
