Honeymoon in May? Countryside travel and Flyfishing

Is May or June okay for honeymooning in Ireland?

Ireland is a dream of mine and we want to go for our honeymoon. I would love some advice as to where to go, what to see and whether anyone knows about flyfishing in Ireland.

Congrats on your upcoming nuptials and yes, either month would be okay for a honeymoon in Ireland.

Also not sure if you were looking for such but this first site might help you with a place to stay http://irelandflyfishing.com/ and this second gives a good overview of fly-fishing in Ireland http://www.flyfishireland.net/

Blackwater river between Fermoy and Cappoquin is where my friend goes. For honeymoon you could consider the Cliff house in Ardmore if budget stretches to it .

Or you could combine fishing and accommodation.

Congratulations.

Couple of suggestions in different locations. www.ballynahinch-castle.com/connemara-hotel and http://www.sheenfallslodge.ie/ both offer fishing, are in some of the best settings on the island and are in good touring basses.

Countryside and Nature:

Assuming a typical May, rather than the one experienced this May, 2013:

A sort of Trip Report on Flyfishing in Ireland:

Have not read the whole article linked to above, but the River Suir is pronounced more like Sure than Sir!
