From Sun, Sea and Sand to Flooding and Storms as July exits

Well, the heat and dry weather of the first half of July are now being stored in the memory banks, for future reference.

Last week brought flash flooding to parts of Donegal, Dublin, Cork and Clare, among other places:

Rain and lots of it is the immediate forecast. Whatever else, let's hope the tornadoes don't materialize:

With the Bank Holiday weekend just around the corner, the Rain Gods need to take a break, too.

I have decided to save myself a lot of unnecessary worry and not look at any of the forecasts for the week I'll be there. I figure there isn't anything I can do to change it, so I'm coming prepared for all seasons and will count myself lucky if I see the sun shine at least once. :-)

Tamiller, you sound Irish already. That's how we live our lives every day:-)

The mini heatwave was great while it lasted but I am convinced we will get the nice weather back again soon(after the tornado!!)

A rainbow or two would be lovely when we are in Kerry 16 August, but I'm with Tamiller, not looking at the weather forecast, have mac, will travel!

I live in "tornado alley" here in the States, so a tornado would seem just like home to me.
