Our stay at the Cherryville B&B was great--comfy bed, hard shower that heated up quickly, QUIET night, and the best eggs I've EVER eaten--from the free range chickens right there.
Spent 2 hours at the Irish national Stud--enjoyed the 2 interesting and peaceful gardens, the film about foaling, seeing the horses and the museum.
Drove to Glendalough and spent over 2 hours there. Liked the exhibits, the talk by a guide, the film, visiting the lower lake sites. Didn't go to the upper lake--didn't feel like walking an hour round trip in the drizzle and staff warned us that there was NO parking anywhere. We only found a spot near the VC because we asked an employee about additional parking; he was leaving so had us follow him to his car. Because of the rain (really just a light drizzle, we picnicked in the car--not quite what we had planned, but it worked.
Drove to Enniscorthy to see the National 1798 VC--very well done; took about an hour. Then we drove to Vinegar Hill--the views were spectacular! Maybe even better than that.
Drove to Wexford, where we are staying in a nice little apartment I found on AirBnB. Looks just like the Internet pics, the hosts are delightful--it's just right for us. About a 5 minute walk to Main St for shops & restaurants.
Have a wonderful dinner at Spice--lovely place, terrific servers, delicious food. I tried my first Bulmers--and I liked it. Took a bit of a walk for dinner and now we're in for the night.
