November trip to Ireland

Hi all- my wife and I are traveling to Ireland with our 27 month old daughter on Nov 21. We fly in/out of Shannon. The first 5-6 days we will spend by ourselves and will then spend the last 5 days with friends born and raised in Limerick. Our initial thoughts were to do the following:

2 nights Galway

2 nights Killarney

1 night Dingle

Any suggestions/recommendations would be much appreciated! Thank you in advance!

I think your instincts are right - not too much. Killarney might be quiet at that time of year so you might want to reconsider in light of your toddler. You are a bit early for the Pantomime season but the Nutcracker is playing in the Gaiety Theater Dublin til 23rd November.

I think your plan is great, leaving the local Limerick activities for later with friends. Very do-able if you are renting a car. Your daughter may enjoy the 45 min (enclosed) ferry ride to Inis Mor from outside of Galway and a ride around the island in a pony trap.

Enjoy!

We are taking our 2.5 yr old for the first time. In a few weeks. Two of our nights are in Dingle. We plan to take her to the aquarium there, get Murphy's ice cream, and also maybe the seal sanctuary. I learned that the sanctuary is closed as of October, but the employees work all winter. They just don't pay someone to sit at the ticket desk. But they are there if you want to pop in for a tour. Just some ideas for you :)
