Euros or Sterling?

We're from the US and visiting Ireland this December. I've rented a cottage for our first week. Our question is, the quote on our cottage is in Sterling 202.00 a week. I was under the impression that the Republic only accepted Euros. Will we be charged in Euros or Sterling? Thank-you in advance.

it's possible that the owner is UK based and therefore quoted in STG. If you booked through a booking site, there is usually an option to quote in different currencies.

Is this with Imagine Ireland your booking? They are based in England.

Just a thought.

The booking is with Irish Country Cottages. Is there a way I can see where they are based?

Both are reddies, check your contract.

Irrespective of currency though, that's not a bad rate.

Come and enjoy.

With apologies to the OP.

@ Tarry.

To some lucre, to others cash, to me reddies.

Don't leave home without it.
