driving itineraries

We are traveling in Ireland for a week in June and would like to make the most of our time while driving from one destination to the next. I'd like to know about the best driving itineraries for the following: 1)from Dublin to Clifden; 2)Clifden to KInsale; 3)Kinsale to Dublin.

Thanks very much

Those are three, long routes. Lots of options. Please indicate particular interests, food, castles, scenery, etc.

My husband and I will be in Dublin a few days in our own. Driving from Dublin to Clifden we will have just picked up our jet lagged daughters and sons in law (ages 27-30) at airport so probably won't be up for more than scenic drives. On the other routes would like to break up the drive - doing things like visit a castle or two, see beautiful scenery, visit national parks along the way hit some pubs for lunch, avoid congested touristy places. Hope that's enough information. Thanks for any suggestions. Ellen

With only a Week I would stay North of the Dublin Limerick Line and save Kinsale for some time in the far distant future (if ever)

I planned on visiting Kinsale after visiting Cork and Cobh. Should I skip that area and maybe instead do the ROK?

If you are in Cork or from Cobh take the ferry across and if you have the time then Kinsale is worth a quick look.. Going a long way in a short time? no not worth the effort and the sacrifice of other things ..

Beara would be a better option than the Ring of Kerry coming from the Cork side and the best of the three main peninsula's down there.
