Get there before Rick Steves "discovers" them and they appear on must see lists with 6pm trad sessions.

I think Co Carlow has so much to offer the tourist .... It always seems to be upstaged by its jazzier neighbour though. I think the list is a real reflection of what many people search for - off the beaten path, non touristy etc, but as light blue says it will only be a matter of time.

I need to get to Clare Island because of the name and all ;)

I had a brief visit to Carlow last time I was over there, visted Carlow there and visited a free museum and there is some interesting history seemingly.
