Stop off point between Dublin and Kenmare

I'll be visiting Dublin with 4 women friends the week after next. Staying there for 2 days then meeting Uncle in Dalkey for lunch and plan to visit Powerscourt and Glendalough. Question is where is a good place (town) to spend the night on our return to Kenmare? We are visiting Cashel on trip up to Dublin. Thinking of returning along the coast and visiting Waterford Crystal factory along the way. It's been many years since I've been to this section of the country. Don't have a good sense of how long it takes to drive between these points. Would appreciate any input. Thanks

That was a really good tool. Thanks for that. But looking for a town recommendation that would be interesting to spend the evening.

Dungarvan in County Waterford would be an option, and The Tannery is an excellent restaurant as well as having B&B. www.tannery.ie

It's then a 3-4 hour drive to Kenmare after this (depending on whether you continue on the coastal route or go inland).

Or, if you drive another 18miles you will be in Youghal (pronounced yawl), a town in County Cork where you can eat and stay at Ahearnes Townhouse and seafood bar. http://www.ahernes.net/home.htm

Bryano, I was told the Tannery does a continental breakfast only, have you stayed there?

Friends ate there recently but told me they brought their camper van to overnight as the rooms are in a separate building and there's no "full Irish" just a continental style breakfast. Not sure if they really meant it about breakfast but I do know the rooms are not part of the restaurant. http://www.tannery.ie/townhouse.html
