Ballybunion to Lahinch by ferry:BallyB Cashen or.Adare golf

We are traveling as a golfing couple for 1 week.

We are planning on flying into Shannon airport and driving to Killarney; staying 3 days

arriving at the Hotel around 5:00 pm Sept 5, 2014.

We have reservations to golf Sept 6 and Killarney Fishing/golf at Mahoneys Pt 12:30

We have reservation to golf Sept 7 at Waterville

On our check out Monday Sept 8 we are deciding on: Ballybunion Cashen golf course,1:50 pm and need to get to Lahinch to the Moy House that evening.

Would we be allowing enough timeframe to golf and then catch the Shannon ferry?

If we do not golf Ballybunion, we would drive from Killarney, up through Adare/Dromoland to sightsee the castle and maybe golf before getting to Lahinch to check in.?

Any assistance is appreciated. We are already set up on golfing Doonbeg Tuesday Sept 9 and Lahinch Old Course.Wed Sept 10 at 8:30 (maybe fit in the other course in the afternoon if we have the energy and tee time available :)

Which city are you flying out of to reach Shannon ?

All the transatlantic flights arrive from 5 am onwards

the journey time from Shannon to Killarney

will take under three hours through the Limerick Tunnel ( Toll )

onto the M20 follow signs for Tralee N21 and Adare

Adare Manor is a Robert Trent Jones parkland course.

Use Google MAPS to see / build your route.

I am arriving at Shannon 12:30 pm before the drive the Killarney

Thank you for the driving time estimate and anticipation of the Toll on the Limerick Tunnel

My current logistics and question:

On Monday 08/09/2014 I will be checking out from the Hotel in Killarney.

What is the drive to Ballybunion (to play Cashen, Old not available), then time to get to the Shannon Ferry and then drive to Lahinch?

OR

What is the drive from Killarney to Adare, go past Dromoland and then onto Lahinch?

What is the golf experience comparison of Adare vs. Cashen to help us choose?

I am getting excited either way; it will be a great trip!

Both Adare Manor and Cashen are R T J Senior courses

one is parkland and the other is a links

Killarney to Ballybunion simply use Google MAPS

I would like to bring your attention to Tralee Golf club in Barrow

its an Arnold Palmer links design and is a must see.

a good source is Youtube

Lahinch Old course is an Alister MacKenzie design

for an insight into the MacKenzie design

Youtube " Alister MacKenzie's road to augusta "

from CNN's Living Golf

enjoy.
