Dublin to belfast

We are planning to drive from dublin to belfast along the coastal route. What should we make sure to see? Also wondering if anyone can recommend a nice bed snd breakfast along the way.

Maybe Carlingford for your overnight stop?

Here's a link to a recent thread that Ponaire and I contributed to. It has information relating to the trip from Dublin to Belfast (Coastal Route) tripadvisor.ie/…59269432

What to see? Well, that depends on your own interests and preferences. For example, you could spend 1 or even 2 days in Drogheda exploring the sites, before you even hit Carlingford. www.drogheda.ie , You could detour slightly off the coastal path and visit Trim Castle, Hill of Tara, the beautiful village of Slane - take a tour of Slane Castle and visit the Francis Ledwidge Museum, Old Mellinfont Abbey, The Jumping Church outside Ardee, Proleek Dolmen in Dundalk - are you getting the picture. Perhaps checkout some of the links and pick and choose what suits you, your interests and the amount of time you wish to spend travelling between the two cities. .

There's lots more you could incorporate into the journey too, and quite frankly you could take a week travelling from the two cities and only tip the iceberg :-)
