7 nights.to southwest ireland

Arriving Dublin in September for eight nights. First 3 nights Dublin, then rent car to travel to Kilkenny, stay one night, then to cork one night, then to Kilarney two nights then north towards Dublin. Enjoy scenery, Theater, hikes, castles. Any advice.

If you enjoy scenery, then you will get it on this route from Dublin airport, where I presume you will collect the hire car, to Kilkenny - http://goo.gl/maps/MBJfl . This brings you via Glendalough and the Wicklow Mountains.

Kilkenny to Cork, via Clonmel and Cahir - Cahir Castle is worth visiting - http://goo.gl/maps/yh91D

And for Cork to Killarney: Rather than take the direct route on the N22, try this scenic route - http://goo.gl/maps/1hJBK
