Kealkill Stone Circle

In June, we were on our way to see this done circle and not fsr from Bantry, we took a wrong turn somewhere and ended up going up a mountain on a one lane gravel road - high enough that our ears were popping. Going UP, the mountain was on our right and the drop off to our left - no barrier of any kind between the road and the drop off. Luckily we finally found a very small area that allowed us to turn around. Can any one tell me where we were? We were just so happy to get off that mountain, we never looked back! Lol

From your description sounds like you were on the Coomhola motorway, travelling up the Coomhola mountain towards Knockboy, Cork's highest point. no wonder your ears were popping !
