Nightmare Realm is on Albert Quay, just about 5-10 mins walk from Cork City Centre. Nearest hotel is Clarion, 3 - 4 mins walk. Next nearest is Jurys Inn 5 mins walk. But any city centre hotel or B&B will be fine for NR. By the way it only opens in October or November, I presume that's when you're travelling here?

When you say cheap hotel, how much are you talking about for a room (no breakfast)?

The airport is 5 miles to City centre, but you would be much better off staying city centre, as there is nothing happening in the evenings at or within reasonable walking distance of the airport campus. There are two good airports on the campus (Cork International and Radisson) and one pretty bad one which advertises as being on the campus but is not.

First try Jurys Inn, then try Auburn Guesthouse on Wellington road. If prices for these do not suit your pocket, would you consider staying in a hostel? There are 4 or 5 of them in the city, two in particular are only 10 mins from Nightmare Realm, and the others are further away. They would be the cheapest type of accommodation you will find in the city. Sheilas Hostel is one and Bru Hostel is the second.

Taxi from airport to City centre is approx. €15 one way - off peak time, and bus is about €5 one way per person. Journey time off peak, 20 mins, depending on where you are staying.

If you give me an approx. nightly price per room in euros I can give you a much better idea as to where you can stay.

You want to make a weekend of it? There will be loads you can do here over a weekend. List to follow. By the way is Tara K and pinkdiesel the same person?
