Many Thanks, and Ireland here we come!

Good morning, well the time has almost arrived. We leave Thursday to fly to Ireland. I can't tell you how excited I am.

I just wanted to thank all of the TA advisors for all of the help that has been given to me. Thanks to everyone on here for all of the invaluable advice I have received.

I have been able to plan our whole trip thru this board, and receive advice about each place we will be staying.

A special thanks to Oma 14, who has taken time out of her busy life to meet me and get to know me, and has pretty much helped with my whole trip. I could not have done it without you Oma. You are a special person, and I hope you know how much I appreciate everything you have done to help me.

Can't wait to be in beautiful Ireland!

I don't recall helping out, but if I did, you are welcome. Thanks for the thanks, well done Oma for the extra one-to-one, that is generous.

All I can say is that weather is gorgeous at the moment, still out walking in short sleeves and it looks very settled for this week at least. We haven't turned the heating on yet, and hopefully won't have to for a while yet ;-)

Do you not have bannoffee pie in the States? I always thought it was an American Import.

Funny I always thought Bannoffee was an exotic American import when I was growing up too. Turns out its an English desert and it definitely wouldn't have been common in Ireland until the 1980's or so I think.
