North Shore July

We are looking to travel to the North Shore in July. We have children aged 8 - 12 all proficient ocean swimmers thanks to Aussie Surf life saving. What is the best beach in the north shore area for swimming, surfing (amateur) and snorkeling. Also recommendations for a rental propert on the beach would be great (4 bedrooms)

Shark's Cove (no sharks despite the name) and Three Tables are decent spots past Haleiwa. You may want to do the cage shark adventure on the north shore, although you probably would see larger more dangerous sharks in your neck of the woods. We had lots of fun doing that a few years ago.

Surf will be pretty flat up north during summer that is the time of year the water at the beaches is is good for swimming but not surfing.

Waimea Bay and Sunset Beach two great beaches up north.

Look on VRBO for rentals up there.

Aloha,

July is a great time to visit The North Shore of Oahu

Find a rental between Pupukea and Sunset Beach.

That area also has a very cool bike path.

Also check into the Polynesian Cultural Center.

Have a great time,

July is just awesome up on the north shore. The best snorkeling on the island is up there. Your kids will be able to swim and snorkel at Waimea and Sunset Beaches and then Three Tables and Shark's cove for even better snorkeling. This is part of the MLCD (Marine Life Conservation District) which runs from Waimea past Pupukea.

You'll most likely have to head to the south shore for surfing (Waikiki). As everybody else has mentioned, snorkeling and swimming will be great on the north shore.
