Need help on another place in County Clare?

We are spending our first night in Dublin. Already have booked B&B. Next 2 days are in Dingle. Have not booked yet but have some good leads. Then we need one B&B in County Clare. Sept.28th, Monday

Sort of halfway, thinking of Ennis or some other place south between Dingle and Doolin. Looking for good music. Not too big a town. Figure we will see COM and Burren on Sept. 29th, Tuesday. On that date we will stay over in Doolin before going on to Clifden on the 30th. On the 1st we will be in Westport. Then overnight in Kilbeggan on 2nd before flying out late the 3rd from Dublin. Kilbeggan was choice for the Friday night before we leave. I could only find 7 pubs. If they have music they will probably have it on Friday night. We wanted to end will small town pub atmosphere. Thanks in advance. You people are super.

Frank, what about Quin?

There's some greats pubs, trad music and nice restaurants, and a host of historical attractions.

Some places to stay:

As Ferdia says , Quin. You might also choose Lahinch, good pubs and restaurants. Milltown Malbay, famous for Willie Clancy music week. Kilfenora, home to the famous ceili band of the same name. Doonbeg great pubs and food. A Monday in late September will probably be "off season" in most of Clare / Ireland, don't be too disappointed if you don't get entertainment in village pubs, most tourists will have long gone.

PS I know it's not Clare and I know it's not a village but Limerick will have trad music on that night. Dolans Pub www.dolanspub.com has live trad music on every night in the public bar, and it's free. They also do good food.

Why not two nights in Doolin? Might be easier all the way around with less packing and unpacking. Seems like a lot of time and effort to drive from Dingle to somewhere and then move again the next day to Doolin.
