Sept. 3rd (MONDAY) night in Ennis

Hi we will have just one evening to enjoy Ennis - can you please let us know the best place to enjoy some trad music on on Monday evening in September.

Would also recommendations for somwhere to eat as well, not too expensive and we have a picky 11 year old eater with us.

Will he be able to hear any of the music while we are there?

thanks

Brogans. or Poets Corner at the Old Ground would be the answer to both questions.

Thanks Tony - will the 11 year old be able to eat and listen a bit with us at either of these places?

thanks

Monday night is one of the quieter nights for trad sessions in Ennis. As far as I know the Poet's Corner only has music from Thursday to Sunday nights, but they sometimes have extra sessions.

They stop serving food at 9p.m. which is usually when the music starts, so you would have a problem with the 11 year old being in the bar after 9.

Brogan's serve food in the restaurant until 10, so you might get lucky there if the music starts earlier.

However, as under 18s are not allowed in licensed premises after 9p.m., I would not build up the 11 year old's hopes
