Congratulate Bryno and win a prize

In the not so distant future I will hit my 10,000 'Travel Forum' post.

The first person who posts me a contratulatory post after the occasion of my 10,000 will win a travel related book from my list of books.

I will post the book to the winner - anywhere in the world. This little competition is open to all posters on TA including DE's

The list begins here, more to follow soon:

(1)The Official Road Atlas of Ireland. I have two copies of this fantastic atlas, one in my car and one in my office. It is an invaluble tool if you are planning a visit to Ireland and a great car companion when on the Irish roads.

Further books will be added to the list over the next few weeks.

Keep me off the list; you don't need to offer a prize to congratulate you on such an occasion. You've been warm, hospitable, informative and helpful; from me, and from the thousands of others you've helped, thank you. Congratulations on your first ten thousand, and may you find the patience to make it to ten thousand more. Sláinte!

Ah lads come on, I need my hats to fit me head for the winter. Tone it down, tone it down.

Actually, I'm not sure exactly when I'll hit the magic number. I suppose if I get lots of <easy> questions it'll happen faster.

If any of you know of any great Ireland travel related books (currently in print and easy to get) please let me know so that I can put them on my prize list. (Sound of DE's licking lips and sloppering)

Looking forward to travellig with you to 10k !

Goodness Bryno - what a great way to celebrate reaching

10,000 :-)

But I do feel that all of us who have benefitted from your help should be rewarding You somehow . . . . .

Maybe I should stop by on 17th March next year and buy you a drink before heading off to Sheep's Head - due to land 1420hrs at Cork :-)

And on the subject of books, amongst the many I own, I wonder if these might be of interest:

"A Secret Map of Ireland" by Rosita Boland

and these by German photographer Carsten Krieger are lovely (but a bit heavy!!):

"The Fertile Rock; Seasons in the Burren"

"The West of Ireland: A Photographer's Journey"

"The Wildflowers of Ireland"

:-)
