First Holiday to Cork need advice

Am looking to come to Cork in September we will be flying into Cork and will be hiring a car, we would like to stay self catering in a village near to Cork with shops and restaurants nearby any feedback welcome. If anyone has stayed in a self catering accommodation they can recommend would be very grateful thanks for reading

You really need to decide where you want to stay first. Any ideas? How far from Cork do you want to be? Coastal or Inland?

thanks for quick reply. I would prefer coastal but the nearest coast to Cork so we don't have too much driving if you know what I mean.

The Kinsale area sounds like a good option for you. It's only 16 miles from Cork City.

You could check out the Kingfisher apartment in Youghal

www.harveysdock.com Its on the water in the town near shops and restaurants. About 45 min drive to Cork City
