Cork Heritage Open day. Saturday 17th August 2013

Hi all,

Just a reminder to any one who might be in Cork City on Saturday 17th August.

Some very historic buildings in Cork City will be open to the public for one day only. Entry is free for this day. This is a great chance to see the inside of many local buildings which are generally closed to the public.

Here is a link to the website, which lists all the buildings that you can visit.

http://www.corkheritageopenday.ie/

I hope you get to visit, it's a great (and free) day out for all the family.

ENJOY

I realized that even as a local, I've only been into about half of the places that are open.

Do you have any tips about which ones are worth seeing?

I'm bumping this one up as it's happening next Saturday.

It's the best day of the year to visit the city, if you want to get to see inside buildings that are generally closed to the 'great unwashed' ;-))

It poured with rain in the morning and then at 12pm the sunshine came out and remained until dusk.

Any comments on your visit Pat G?
