1. Re: marquee

It's about 2.5km or a 30 minute walk.

It's not really worth using the bus to get there as you would have a 5 minute walk to Parnell Place to pick up the 202 bus and then a 10 minute walk from Ballintemple to the Marquee.

A taxi costs €7-€8, if you hail it on the street. Add €2 if you have it called to the hotel and add €1 for each additional passenger.

If you have a car, there is a paid car park alongside it, although this could fill for more popular gigs. Parking on the street in that area is free, there have been occasional reports of cars being targeted for break in, so you might be better off parking in Ballintemple (where there is more pedestrian footfall and passing cars) and walking down

2. Re: marquee

Additionally, here are some Marquee FAQ's which I put together last year.

What is the Marquee?

Essentially it is an oversized circus tent installed annually for the 'Live at the Marquee' sessions

Where is the Marquee?

About 1 mile from Cork city centre on the junction of Monaghan Road and Centre park Road.

How do I get to the Marquee?

It's best if you can walk to the event. Failing that you can bring a car, there is a pay car park on site and some 'on street' parking is allowed. There is no public transportation to the Marquee. Taxis are plentiful in Cork. Taxi from City centre to Marquee - less than 10 mins drive.

Nearest hotels to the Marquee?

The Clarion, Jurys Inn and the Imperial are about the three nearest hotels to the Marquee. Each is about a 1 mile walk.

Is the Marquee Wheelchair accessible?

Is the marquee a seated event?

The tickets are a mixture of seated and standing.
