1. Re: Blarney Castle

That's an easy one for the bucket list Linda ;-))

All you have to do is get to Cork city and there is a regular bus service from the city centre to Blarney village. The journey takes about 25 minutes, and the bus will stop just a minute walk from the gates to Blarney Castle.

Here is the bus schedule: www.buseireann.ie/pdf/1363793633-215.pdf

Here is a link to Blarney Castle: http://www.blarneycastle.ie/ All details you will need to know about the castle are there.

Now, all you have to do is get here and 'pucker up'

Enjoy

Here is a link to airlines/destinations serving cork corkairport.com/gns/…scheduled-flights.aspx

If none of those suit you, then get a flight from Leeds-Bradford to Dublin and then the Aircoach from Dublin Airport to Cork City. aircoach.ie/timetables/route-704-x-cork-dubl…

It's 2 hours by train Leeds to Manchester airport via Piccadilly.. so going Manchester - Cork is an option.

Manchester-Cork is definitely the easiest option. Liverpool or East Midlands might be cheaper, but are less frequent and harder to get to.
