Franciscan Well brewery - Tours and Tastings available again

Franciscan Well is worth a visit when in Cork City.

Did you know that you can arrange a tour and a tasting of this craft beer brewery?

Thanks Bryno, we leave Friday :) It has been added to my list. Are there others that offer this too? We will be traveling about Ireland for two weeks and love craft beers.

I think Black's in Kinsale are planning to start tours soon. They're a relatively new brewery, so I have no idea what scale they have.

Otherwise, 8 degrees in Mitchelstown and O'Hara's in Carlow do tours if you pre-arrange.

On the subject of Franciscan Well, their beers are now becoming more widely available in Off Licences if people feel like bringing a souvenir back.

We went to Dingle Brewing last August. We will be traveling through Mitchelstown on the way to see family. I'll contact them to see about tour and tasting. Later in our trip, we will be staying in Kilkenny overnight and will stopping for a pint or two at O'Hara's Brewery Corner. Thanks to all for the information!

What did you think of Dingle Brewing (I've never been)?

After a long rainy day that we have now named the Dingle Dash, we went to the brewery. The tour was self guided with information about Tom Crean and their brewing process. The pint was excellent. We were there only a short time due to being exhausted from our day out. So you learn from your first visit to Ireland, slow down. This trip is much more laid back!
