Cheap and Cheerful pints

Heading to cork for a weeked, just wondering any recommendations on happy hours etc for a few cheap and cheerful drinks.

all on Washingtons offer cheaper pints (but not every night). If they do, there will be a sign on the doors or windows.

All three are very nice pubs, reason they offer 'happy hours' is that they are in student territory (UCC is just up the road)

Only problem is that at the weekends, the 'happy hour' won't last too long. Don't fret though, loads of lovely pubs in the city for you to enjoy and if you don't like the one you're in just pop 'next door' to the next one.

My top 5 fav pubs at the moment are:

Long Valley - Winthrop street

Counihans - Pembroke Street

Old Oak - Oliver Plunkett Street

Le Chateau - Patrick Street

Mutton Lane Inn - Mutton Lane - off Patrick Street.

Top 3 trendies:

Crane Lane - Phoenix Street

Electric - South Mall

SoHo - Grand Parade
